New Trading Hub Inaugurated: The multifunctional Jiangjin International Pepper Industrial City officially opened, integrating exhibition, cold-chain logistics, and processing facilities to streamline global trade.
Innovation Showcase:
– Chongqing Forestry Bureau unveiled “Yujinxiang,” a new high-yield pepper cultivar (Certification: YuS-SV-ZB-006-2024)
– Drone technology applications for precision farming debuted
$16M in Deals Signed: Jiangjin Pioneer Pepper Co. secured procurement agreements with major distributors and signed 12 tenant contracts for the new industrial park.
Strategic Significance
As China’s largest green pepper producer (60% of Chongqing’s output; 14% nationally), Jiangjin leverages its 2,000-year cultivation history to drive rural revitalization. Recent exports reached Japan, Canada, and Southeast Asia.
“Today accelerates our transition from volume to value,” stated Liao Yiwei, Deputy Chief of Jiangjin District. Chen Guohua, President of Chongqing Hotpot Association, emphasized supply chain upgrades to meet global demand.
